STUDENT SERVICE LEARNING
• Providing informational session for families – High school admission for students, parental involvement, higher education and career pathway support
• Creating and maintaining bulletin boards and posters displayed throughout the school
• After school tutoring for at-risk youth – Language Arts, Math, Biology, History, and Spanish
• 50 Service Learning hours completed; 4-8 hours per week; 3 college credit hours earned
HIGH SCHOOL AWARENESS FOR AT-RISK YOUTH
FALL 2017
Through student service learning, I was able to develop posters to raise awareness about the importance of going to high school. The goal of this project was to encourage at-risk youth in Baltimore City to apply to and attend high schools with college readiness or career-tracked programs.
